The Client

FleetSA is a unit of the Department of Treasury and Finance and is responsible for procurement activities within the SA Government, including major involvement in the implementation of the Government's procurement reform strategy.

The Challenges

To develop a Contract Management System for Contract Services to administer the processing of tenders and contracts that can be made available to all South Australian Agency Accredited Purchasing Units. To provide a solution capable of running on a standard Government Hardware Platform.

The Solution

SRA developed the Contract Management System using Oracle Forms and Reports against an Oracle database to comply with Contract Services' requirements.

From a business perspective the system includes a number of functional areas dealing with the processing of tenders and contracts through to recording the disposal of vehicles and general goods and receipting for the sale of these items.

Specific functionality includes the processing of:

  • Organisations, Contacts and Addresses;
  • Catalogues;
  • Tenders and Contracts;
  • Government Auctions;
  • Work Orders;
  • Receipting;
  • GSC Diskette and Fiche extracts.

Microsoft Outlook/Exchange was integrated to provide workflow capabilities throughout the system.
