The Client

Contract Services (formerly SupplySA) is a unit of the Department for Administrative and Information Services (DAIS) and is responsible for procurement activities within the SA Government, including major involvement in the implementation of the Government's procurement reform strategy.

The Challenges

To develop a web site to make upcoming government auction information available to the public. To develop the site in a freeware technology environment to minimise the costs to the client.

The Solution

SRA developed the Government Auctions web site using PHP, HTML and a MySQL database to run on the Linux platform.

Specific information available and functionality provided by the web site includes:

• Auction Details;
• Conditions of Sale;
• Vehicle Search;
• Catalogue;
• Vehicles by Category;
• Past Vehicle Sale Prices;
• Sale Tenders;
• Automated update of Vehicle Sale Prices from the Contract Management System Web Site Administration screens.
