Environmental Information Management

SRA has developed a number of systems focused on environmental management and monitoring, environmental approvals and regulatory reporting, land tenement and titles management and spatial data integration. Some of these projects are described in more detail in the ‘what we’ve done’ section of the website.

To enhance the focus on environmental data management, NGERs - greenhouse gas emissions reporting and NPI - National Pollutant Inventory reporting, SRA has a separate business unit called SRA Environmental. This business unit develops and supports the EnviroSys solution.

EnviroSys is a configurable off-the-shelf solution that is designed to manage all kinds of monitoring data across even the largest organisations. Data from static monitoring devices, mobile samples (e.g. people) and observations of flora and fauna are all able to be stored and managed in EnviroSys.

EnviroSys enables organisations to reduce environmental risk, better manage and understand monitoring programs, and conform to regulatory standards and good corporate governance protocols. EnviroSys is able to achieve this by alerting staff via email and mobile phone to exceedances and missing data, automatically generating and submitting reports to the appropriate people, and allowing an historical record with full auditing to be kept of all monitoring programs.
