Staff Spotlight - Talking to Talha

We recently chatted to Talha to learn more about his career journey at SRA. Talha initially joined SRA in an entry level role and has since progressed to become a Software Developer. Check out his story below.

What sort of work do you do at SRA?

I work as a Software Developer at SRA. My role primarily revolves around working with a team in designing, creating and maintaining software solutions for clients. This involves a variety of tasks, depending on the project and the intended objectives.

What led you to your current role?

I initially joined SRA in an entry level role. A combination of immersive learning and mentorship from senior developers and collaborative management has allowed me to be at the point where I am currently at, and see a progressive career at SRA.

How has SRA supported your career?

SRA has supported my career through ongoing training opportunities with the introduction of access to services such as Udemy, mentorship and challenging projects that have allowed me to grow and develop as a Software Developer.

What do you love most about working in tech?

What I love most about tech is the ever-evolving nature of the industry. It’s a field that allows me to continuously learn, adapt, and work on solutions to real world problems.

What has been the most satisfying thing you’ve done at SRA?

It has been immensely rewarding to see our collaborative efforts result in successful solutions for clients that not only meet their needs, but also exceeds their expectations. It is quite visible that the work we do has a real-world impact and that reinforces the significance of our work and motivates me to continue pushing boundaries and creating value through technology.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I find enjoyment in low-key activities. One fun fact about me is that I’m an avid reader. I love getting lost in the pages of a good book, exploring different worlds and gaining new insights. Reading is a way to recharge and reflect on my journey in this life, it allows me to escape into different narratives and expand my knowledge while maintaining tranquility. I also love binge watching tv shows.
